DAB/DMB Projects at IBC 2009

Once again this year, the Communications Research Centre Canada (CRC)
will be exhibiting its DAB/DMB technologies as part of the IBC 2009 New
Technology Campus, Stand 3.D02
. The demonstrations will encompass many
new developments:
  • Official release of the CRC-DABMUX source code under a GPL software licence. CRC-DABMUX is a real-time software DAB multiplexer that supports most features of the DAB standard.
  • Live demonstration of an Openmokast application for Android on the T-Mobile G1 handheld. This application is available on the Android Market and decodes standard DAB Slideshow and CELT audio streams in real-time.
  • Live demonstration of CRC's new “CELT over DAB” application. CELT is a royalty-free audio codec developed by the Xiph.Org foundation.
  • Update of the free CRC mmbTools live CD which includes DAB application encoders, CRC-DABMUX, CRC's software modulator CRC-DABMOD, CRC Openmokast as well as other useful tools.
  • Live demonstration of CRC's new DAB+ real-time software encoder

You can also discuss these topics with François Lefebvre during his poster presentation:
