CRC’s Semra Gulder has been selected to participate in the Industry Canada - Canadian Women in Communications 2010 Jeanne Sauvé Convergence Program.

The program provides an in-depth look at communications regulation and policy by offering three, two-week rotations at participating organizations: the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), Canadian Heritage and Industry Canada.
Semra, who already has experience working with various government clients (e.g. National Defence, the RCMP and Public Safety Canada), will gain insight into the mandates and workings of participating departments. She will also learn how the departments interact with each other, how issues and challenges are handled, and policies are made.
“The experience I gain will help me make better decisions in my own workplace, strengthen bonds with other government departments and better understand my clients. The Jeanne Sauvé Convergence Program will help me achieve my objective – to design solutions that meet the client’s and my organization’s needs,” says Semra.
Semra is a Project Leader in CRC’s Broadband Network Technologies Branch, Network Systems group. She is a graduate of Carleton University, with a BSc and MSc, both specializing in mathematics.
