IEEE Fellow John Lodge Presented with Plaque

CRC's Dr. John Lodge was among honourees recognized at the IEEE banquet held in Ottawa on November 20, 2009.

John was presented with a plaque marking his elevation to Fellow of the IEEE. John was among a select group of engineers elevated to Fellow of the prestigious organization earlier this year, with the citation: "For contributions to the application of signal processing and communications theory."

The November 20th banquet, themed "A Celebration of Fellowship and Accomplishment," feted both the IEEE's 125th anniversary and IEEE Ottawa's 65th year. During the evening, CRC's significant contribution to IEEE Ottawa was noted.

John is Research Program Manager in CRC's Communications Signal Processing group. He joined CRC in 1984 after receiving his PhD in electrical engineering from Queen's University (1981) and working for several years in the private sector. "I was very pleased to be recognized at an event where CRC, the organization where I have spent most of my career, was also recognized," said Lodge.
