In June 2009, the CRC and SkyWave Mobile Communications Inc. received a technology transfer award from the Federal Partners in Technology Transfer (FPTT). CRC's advanced antenna group helped Skywave develop and commercialize a compact, omni-directional antenna that was critical to the technology's ability to monitor and communicate the position of vehicles and vessels by satellite.
