| In 2006, CRC's Advanced Radio Systems Group received an "Excellence in Technology Transfer Award" from the Federal Partners in Technology Transfer (FPTT), for its contribution to Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology. |
![]() | Gilbert Soulodre, Scott Norcross and Michel Lavoie of the Advanced Audio Systems group (Broadcast Technologies Branch) of CRC have been awarded with the "Best Publication Award" by the Audio Engineering Society (AES) for their paper titled "Objective Measures of Listener Envelopment in Multichannel Audio Systems", published in the Journal of the AES in September 2003. The awards were received during an award ceremony held during the 121th Audio Engineering Society Convention in San Francisco, California, Oct. 5-8, 2006. |

Kevin Shackell, Laura Cashen, Sheryle Shelaga, Joe Leblanc, Marg Stanton and their manager, Jeet Hothi were honoured for their outstanding achievements in helping protect and commercialize CRC's intellectual property. |
![]() | The Audio Engineering Society awarded Bill Treurniet with its Publication Award for Best Scientific Article, 1999-2000. The article describes a method for the objective evaluation of audio quality, which is now an international standard to which CRC was a major contributor. |
