Doing Business With CRC
CRC offers the following opportunities for engagement with academia and industry.
CRC collaborates on R&D projects with both universities and industry. The goal of the collaborations are for CRC to work with others to advance research in our key focus areas, namely the efficient use of spectrum, next‑generation wireless networks, the application of wireless technology to government policy development, and communications for defence and public safety. As well, we are always evaluating areas for knowledge development via collaborations with leading wireless R&D labs and institutes.

Access to CRC Technology and Expertise
CRC provides access to the technology it develops via licensing and technology transfer. CRC also provides selected R&D services to organizations via engineering service projects.
Licensable Technology: CRC licenses its portfolio of intellectual property of patents and copyrighted software. This may be on a fee and royalty basis, or on a free open‑source basis, depending on the technology.

R&D Engineering Service Projects: CRC has unique skills, expertise and technology capabilities that we are willing to offer via engineering service projects to industry, on a cost recovery basis. We first work with the organization to determine if the work required fits our capabilities and our R&D priorities. If it does and the company cannot find other Canadian sources to meet their needs, then we will jointly develop a work plan and provide a quote to execute the engineering service project.
